Resource Allocation for Target Tracking in Distributed MIMO Radar

This paper proposes a joint scheme of sensor subset selection, optimal power and bandwidth allocation for range-only target tracking in multiple-input multiple-output radar sensor networks.First,The Bayesian Cramer-Rao Bound(BCRB)is first derived. Then, the resource allocation problem is aimed to minimize BCRB with the resource constraints. The relationship between the optimal solutions of the power and bandwidth is obtained firstly. Then we manage the sensors by using convex relaxation, and the approximate solutions of this joint optimization problem are found by cyclic minimization algorithm incorporated with SPCA algorithm. In numerical examples,it is shown that the proposed optimal joint resource allocation scheme provides superior performance for other strategies.
