The Research of Interconnection Network on Coarse-Grained Reconfigurable Cipher Logic Array
Coarse-grained reconfigurable array(CGRA)has an advantage in the implementation of symmetric cryptographic algorithms with high performance and flexibility.Specially,interconnection network is used to connect each Processing Element(PE),which plays an important role in mapping performance and adaptability of algorithms.In this paper we analyze the structure of Coarse-Grained Reconfigurable Cipher Logic Array(CGRCA)and extract the related demands of symmetric cryptographic algorithms,a Hierarchical Clustering Interconnection Network(HC-ICN)is proposed.Inner-cluster interconnection network has efficient and fast advantage,at the same time outer–cluster interconnection network has flexible and non-blocking advantage.To this end,the design is synthesized,experimental results shows that,compared with existing interconnection network,the proposed design has strengths in area cost,performance,flexibility and adaptability.In addition,its of high performance in implementing several kinds of symmetric cryptographic algorithms,the throughput of Advanced Encryption Standard(AES)is up to 6.8Gbps,and the throughput of Synchronous Meteorological Satellite 4(SM4)is up to1.8Gbps.
