Extension of Lifetime with Network Coding in Cluster Based Wireless Sensor Networks
How to extend networks lifetime is one of the most important problem in the Wireless Sensor Networks(WSNs).Networks Lifetime is directly dependent on node inside the area,especially the node nearly the sink,these nodes consumes its power very quickly to support large data stream from outside to the sink node,they takes on the heavy traffic and formed the bottleneck zone.To solve this problem,we combine linear network coding with traditional cluster WSNs.With the linear network coding,node could transmit multiple packets at one time in the bottleneck zone.In this paper,we focus on estimate the upper bounds of network lifetime with network coding and the duty-cycled.The results of the study showed that more data could be transmitted to the sink node with the same number of transmissions by the coding node,which significantly increased the energy efficiency of the whole network,reduce the traffic load of the node in the bottleneck zone,and prolong the overall lifetime of the network.
