Reason Analysis and Precautionary Measures of Abnormal Power Factor
Aiming to decrease power loss,it is common to install reactive compensation devices to improve power factor and decrease the loss.As a result of that reactive compensation devices will work in overcompensation state(which means the energy meter works in IV quadrant),problems like increasing wire loss and decreasing voltage may do harm to the safety and stable operation of electrical devices.This thesis combined cases of exceptionally low power factor caused by over compensation,and did analysis on its harm and countermeasure in detail,so that the objection of loss decrease and energy saving would be reached and social economic benefit would be increased.
