The Design and Implementation of An Infrared Indoor Positioning and Lighting System

  At present,technologies used in indoor positioning like Radio Frequency Identification(RFID)are based on wireless waves.However,various objects can reflect wireless waves,which cause complex multipath effect and non-line of sight transmission.Especially,people walking make errors hard to be corrected.Therefore,this article proposes a way that 940nm infrared ray replaces wireless wave tag like RFID.At the same time,in view of low cost and convenient application,and indoor lighting system is designed and implemented.In fact,in the lighting system,the 940nm infrared ray not only takes charge of tag but also lighting.Finally,test shows that this Indoor positioning and lighting system has smaller errors and is more efficient and reliable than RFID.
