The Application of Dynamic Matrix Control in the Grate Cooler

  The problem which grate cooler is nonlinear and large lag,the traditional control method is difficult to achieve precise control effect.The dynamic matrix control has prominent advantages in solving the problem of nonlinear and large lag.Therefore,we will take advantage of the dynamic matrix control algorithm to control grate cooler.Firstly,we make use of least-square method to establish grate cooler prediction model.Then,we design the controller according to the prediction model.Finally,we correct the error.The application results show that this method can forecast the change trend of grate pressure and allow the operator to adjust the grate speed.So,the grate pressure and second wind temperature will not be a big fluctuation.This method was proved to be practical and effective.It has some practical value in engineering.
