Research on the WeChat Use Behavior of among Uygur Users in Erdaoqiao Community of Urumqi, China
As the most widely used social media platform in China, WeChat has penetrated into daily life and has broad implications for the development of civil society. This paper constructs research framework based on the Diffusion of Innovation, Use and Gratification, etc. According to the Urumqi ErDaoQiao Uygur community user questionnaire and focus group interview, studied the Uygur group Audience behavior and Internal Mechanism of Adoption and Use of WeChat. The results found that Uygur groups within the community are easily to adopt WeChat with high contract intensity. Family factors are an effective one in explaining the use behavior, but the impact of psychological variables cannot be ignored. In addition, the use degree of WeChat for women is much higher than that for men.
