Reform of Peoples Jurors System under the Keyword People
For long,the key word people in the peoples juror system has not been given sufficient attention,and the organizational goals of the court have gradually replaced the content of people in peoples juror system,which completely compromises the central value of the peoples juror system.This round of reform of peoples juror system should begin with the understanding of the key word people,and establish a peoples juror system of the people,by the people,and for the people.The specific measures include expanding the source channels of peoples jurors,reforming the nomination mechanism for peoples jurors,strengthening the independence and right of discourse of the peoples jurors,and endowing the peoples jurors with responsibilities that meet their lay status and clearly defining the methods for them to fulfill these responsibilities.
