A Study on the Spread and Governance of Rumors through the Relational Network in Social Media in China
The rapid development of the Internet and social media maps the interpersonal relationships in reality to the cyberspace and builds a relational network in social media.Not only is the social life of people profoundly influenced,but also rumors spread.The public panic caused by rumors can greatly affect the daily life of the Chinese people.Therefore,it is important to study the spread of rumors through social media in China.Based on the national conditions of China,this paper explores whether the relational network contributes to the communication through social media and whether it is an important factor in the dynamic spread process of rumors.This paper reveals the spread mechanism of rumors through the relational network in social media and puts forward suggestions from the perspectives of technical means,legal system,rumor quelling and the quality of Internet users.
