A Production Inventory System with Service Time and a Production Facility Vacation

摘要：

　　In this paper,we consider the service time in a production inventory system where the production facility takes a vacation.Customers arrive in the system according to a Poisson process requiring service from a single server.The single production facility produces items according to(s,S)policy,and it takes a vacation of random duration once the inventory level becomes S.We first derive the stationary distribution of the system in product form.Then,we develop a cost function based on some performance measures.Finally,some numerical results are presented.
