SIMULATION OF ULTRASONIC PHASED ARRAY FIELD IN WELD BEAD
The welded components are frequently used in modem industry.The structure of the weld bead is complex and it is extremely prone to defects.Ultrasonic phased array technology can improve the detection signal to noise ratio and flexibly control the focusing position of the acoustic beam, which is suitable for scanning the thick-wall weld bead.In this paper, multi-Gaussian beam is used to simulate the phased array focus acoustic field distribution in the thick-wall weld bead and the beam focusing characteristics in different media.The influence on the focusing effect of the focusing position in the weld bead is analyzed by numerical calculation.It lays the foundation for high-precision detection of the defects in thick-wall weld bead.
