THE SIMULATION DESIGN OF LOW FREQUENCY BROADBAND TRANSMIT-RECEIVE TRANSDUCER WITH COMPOSITE FLUID CAVITY

  A design of underwater transducer with composite cavity structure is presented.This transducer adopts piezoelectric ceramic tubes and a larger metal tube forming a composite fluid cavity.While working in the water, the transducer possesses multiple fluid cavity vibration modes which expand the bandwidth of the transducer.FEM calculation results show that, the transducer can work well both as a transmitting transducer and as a hydrophone in a bandwidth of two octaves as long as the structure sizes were reasonably designed.This new structure transducer possesses the characteristics of low frequency, broadband and transmit-receive using.
