A STUDY OF SINGLE PIEZOELECTRIC FIBER FRICTIONAL SLIDING DURING LOADING AND UNLOADING PROCESS
The efficiency of load transfer across the interface of piezoelectric fiber and matrix plays a significant role on the mechanical behavior of piezoelectric fiber composites. In the debonding region, Frictional sliding is the main mode of the load transfer.Several experimental tests are designed to measure the frictional properties of piezoelectric composite between matrix and piezoelectric. In the unloading process, there is only frictional sliding and no new debonding occurs.Thats to say, we can obtain the frictional coefficient through the analysis of unloading process, the purpose of the present study is to extend the application of the single-fiber pullout test to evaluating the interracial and frictional properties of piezoelectric composite between matrix and piezoelectric fiber.
