EFFECT OF POROUS AND SEGREGATION DEFECTS ON THE MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF MAGNESIUM ALLOY
Magnesium alloy as a new type of alloy material enjoys some excellent properties, but it always inevitably generates some kind of defects, such as porous, bubble, inclusion and segregation defects.Defects seriously impact the mechanical properties of magnesium alloy, therefore, the study of defects is important. In this paper, we analyzed the effect of porous and segregation defects on the property of magnesium alloy by experimenting.Through the experiment of different percentage of defects, we can compare the influence of defects content to mechanical properties of alloy. It has also developed a high temperature experiments, which can test the impact of high temperature on the defects and alloys. The microstructures of segregation and porous tissues were analyzed, from the segregation and porous structural characteristics, we analyzed the reason why material degradation and damage patterns. And discusses its formation mechanism and prevention measures.
