A Framework of Standard System of Elderly-friendly Living Environment: from the Perspective of Ageing In Place and Individual Ageing
1 Introduction According to the 2016 national economic and social development statistics bulletin,published by Chinas National Bureau of Statistics on February 28,2017, by the end of 2016, the elderly population aged 60 years and over has reached 231 million, accounting for 16.7％ of the total population;the elderly aged 65 and over has reached 150 million, accounting for 10.8％ of the total population, the trend of population ageing of China is serious (National Bureau of Statistics,2017).With the rapid increase of the elderly population, elderly care has aroused widespread concern in society.One of the foremost considerations for the elderly to enjoy future is whether the living conditions, the layout and facilities of residence can meet the daily needs.However, the existing community, house, even some new community, new house, new elderly care institutions,did not take into account the special needs of the elderly in the earlier stage of construction.In order to fit the elderlys physical function and living habits, its necessary to moderate and timely tailored the house, which refers to elderly friendly living environment (EFLE).
