Business Model Development and Classification for Regional Health and Senior Care Service Networks

1 Introduction: Challenges for service networks in the German health and senior care sector Networks make an important contribution to the health and senior care sector.In particular, complex supply networks bring together a huge range of different players operating in the health market (Ganz, et al., 2015): service recipients, service providers, cost carriers, various industrial subsectors, political stakeholders, governmental organizations, and public research institutions and organizations for education and employee training and development (BVMed, 2015).Care providers are often in competition with each other in the heterogeneous health market, causing a clash of different interests.At the same time, information asymmetries are present.In addition, the German health and senior care sector is in a state of transformation.
