Digitally Enhanced Rehabilitation and Effective Exercise Gaming on Development of the DigiRehab Research and Business Ecosystem
In the ageing society the development and studies of solutions for improving the ability to maintain active and healthy life is among the priority areas of health and wellbeing research.In addition to conventional health care approaches that often involve increasing use of medication, the importance of rehabilitation and exercise training has been gaining increasing attention.It has been recognized as a means in helping to maintain physical condition for independent and active living as well as potentially delaying and reducing risks of certain chronic diseases.While the role of physical rehabilitation and exercise training has been acknowledged there has been lack of low cost and easy to use solutions as well as scientific evidence on their impact.
