Determination of Rumen Degradability and Small Intestinal Digestibility of Food Processing Byproducts
Introduction Feed resources shortages have become increasingly prominent in China.In order to supply reasonable animal feed and meet the needs of animals for nutrients,assessing the nutritional composition and nutritional value of the animal feed is essential.Rumen degradation characteristics of the feed nutrients is an important index of value evaluation of ruminant feed nutritional (Kaur R et al., 2011).And the feedrumen-undegraded protein (RUP) digestibility in the intestine is a great significance to measure small intestinal absorbable protein supplying situation.But domestic rumen digestion rate parameters and the degradation of protein in the small intestine are relatively lacking(Yao X Bet al., 2007).This article choose 6 kinds of food processing by-products, throughanalyzing conventional nutrients, the rumen degradation and small intestine digestibility, toprovidenational dairy standard databasewith basic data and to providethe feed science used in the production of dairy cows with theoretical support and technical basis.
