Identification and profiling of miRNA associated with inflammation in mammary gland tissue of heat-stressed cows

Introduction MicroRNA (miRNA),non-coding RNA containing approximately 22 nucleotides in length,inhibit or degrade target genes at a post-transcriptional level 1.A number of investigations have demonstrated that miRNA play important roles in many biological processes including cell growth, differentiation,proliferation and apoptosis2,3.Thus, miRNA may be potential regulators of cellular responses during heat-stress via regulating mRNA at post-transcriptional level.
