Prevent effects of Lactobacillus fermentum HYO1 on dextran sulfate sodium-induced ulcerative colitis Mice
Introduction Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) mainly comprises ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohns disease (CD),which is a non-specific chronic inflammation of the intestine disease and involves many factors, including genetic predisposition, environmental factors, lifestyle effects and immune disorders (Macdonald et al.,2005;Bouma et al., 2003;Carbonnel et al., 2009).IBD has a very high incidence in the crowd. In addition, traditional therapeutic, including 5□ASA and corticosteroids, are also associated with undesirable side effects and serious complications (Song et al., 2013).However, probiotic therapeutic can avoid these problems and have many good efficacy, so probiotic therapeutic increasingly attach importance. There are a number of mechanisms, including competition with pathogenic bacteria for mucosal adherence and heal impaired mucosal, inhibition of apoptosis and stimulation of crypt cell proliferation, regulation of inflammatory cytokine expression and the intestinal immune system (Duary et al., 2012;Ewaschuk et al.,2006).In this study, we assess the prevent effects of Lactobacillus fermentum HY01 using an in vivo animal model of IBD, induced by DSS.
