Metabolomics reveals alterations in bovine mammary epithelial cells metabolism relate to the signaling pathway of protein synthesis with different essential amino acid ratios
Introduction Low efficiency of milk protein synthesis is the serious problem to dairy industry, only up to 38% of the total amino acid (AA) flux is used for milk protein synthesis, which resultseconomic costs and dietary nitrogen (N) emission(Toerien et al., 2010).Therefore, it is emergent to improve milk protein synthesis and AA utilization efficiencyBalancing essential amino acid (EAA) profile can improve milk protein synthesis (Haque et al., 2015).It has been demonstrated that the most limiting EAA, Lys and Met, which with the ideal ratio of Lys to Met (~3∶1) could promote milk protein synthesis(Nan et al., 2014).But very few experiments were performed to study the effect of potential limiting amino acid (Ile, Leu Val and Thr) on milk protein synthesis regulation. Therefore, the objective of this research is to study the mechanism of milk protein synthesis in response to different EAA ratios in MAC-T cells.
