Metabolomics reveals alterations in MAC-T cells metabolism relate to the signaling pathway of protein synthesis with different ratios of Lys to Met

Introduction Amino acid (AA) is not only the precursor of protein but also the signaling molecule to regulate protein synthesis(Appuhamy et al., 2012).It has been confirmed that Met and Lys are the most limiting AA,which could promotes milk protein synthesis through the regulation of mTOR phosphorylation with thetheoretical ratio of Lys to Met (3∶1) in bovine mammary epithelial cells(Nan et al., 2014).However, there were very few studies pay attentions on the whole mTOR pathway in response to the variation of intracellular metabolism induced by different ratios of Lys to Met.Therefore, the objective of this research is to study the mechanism of milk protein synthesis by metabolomics technology in MAC-T cells.
