Research on Virtual Shock Test of Electrical Connectors
Concerning on the reliability issue of electrical connectors under mechanical shock, one kind of virtual shock test scheme combined with the finite element method was provided.For a circular three pin electrical connector, three-dimensional solid model of the contacts was established by using SolidWorks and the virtual shock test was carried out.Simulation test results show that the static structural analysis of the model can effectively simulate the real contact state of the pins and jacks.The contact force obtained from the static structure analysis is basically consistent with the theoretical value.The higher the test severity level is, the greater the deformation of the electrical connector jack is, the smaller the contact force is, When the severity level exceeds a critical value, the change of the deformation of jacks and the contact force is sharply.In addition, some regions of the jacks appear the plastic deformation even without shock.
