The Research on Fast Test Method for Overload Protection Reliability of Miniature Circuit Breakers

  The miniature circuit breakers are widely used in the over-current protection of electric equipment and circuits, and the safe operation of electric equipment and circuits is directly influenced by the protection reliability.The overload protection reliability of miniature circuit breakers is one of the important reliability indexes.The overload protection test time is long under the standard test condition, and the reliability test also needs to carry out repeatedly, so the overload reliability test time is very long.In this paper, the action time of miniature circuit breakers is studied with different overload current multiples, and the relational model between current multiples of overload test and the action time is established.Operation characteristic with different overload multiples is obtained by periods processing and using the regression analysis method to identify the parameters of model.According to the relationship between the action time with different overload multiples of the miniature circuit breakers, the equivalent test method with overload test with high overload multiple is proposed to substitute the standard overload characteristic test, which effectively reduces the reliability test time of miniature circuit breakers.The test result shows that there is a strong correlation between the action time of miniature circuit breakers with different overload multiples, and the standard overload characteristic test can be substituted by overload test with high overload multiple.
