Research on a High Reliability Adaptive Residual Current Protector

  The residual current operated protective device plays an important role in the guarantee of low-voltage grid electricity safety.When the electric power system and equipment is in normal working condition, changes of grid structure or equipment and environment may lead to the residual current changing largely.If residual current operating value is fixed, the protector is easy to malfunction when the grid normal residual current is large, reducing the commissioning rate.Based on the C8051F340 microcontroller hardware system and adaptive residual current protection theory, this paper designed a kind of residual current protective device which action threshold can be adjusted.It improves the ability of preventing and controlling electric shock and electrical fire by detecting the sudden change residual current, equipped with reclosing and reclosing lockout function to improve its operation rate.The prototype and related experiments prove that the device with adaptive function can fit the complex work environment and operate reliably.
