Numerical Analysis on the Stress Field of Electrical Connectors under the Low Temperature Operating Condition
Aiming at the reliability of electrical connectors under the low temperature operating condition, the numerical analysis on stress field was studied.For a circular three pin electrical connector, combining with the finite element analysis method, the finite element analysis model of the contact was established and analyzed by static structure.The stress field of the contact under different low temperature conditions was analyzed by using the thermal-dectric-structure coupling field.Simulation test results show that, the static structural analysis of the model can effectively simulate the real contact state of the pins and jacks, the error between the simulation results and the theoretical values of the contact force is within the allowable range.Under the different low temperature operating condition, the distribution law of the stress field of electrical connectors is basically the same.With the increase of the ambient temperature form-65℃ to 5℃, the maximum stress value of the contacts changes little, and the total deformation of the contacts increases slightly, and the contact force decreases slightly.
