Simulation Research on Steady State Temperature Field of Miniature Circuit Breaker

  Miniature circuit breaker (MCB) is an electric apparatus for overload and short circuit protection in terminal power distribution system, its one of the most widely used low-voltage electrical products.its working mode is long-term work system, its development trend is becoming more and more miniature.All these make the problem of temperature rising must be considered in the designing and using of MCB.Based on the analysis of the working principle of MCB, the finite element model of a certain type of MCB is established by using ANSYS Workbench software in this paper.The boundary condition and the load are determined and applied.Then the steady temperature field of MCB with different environment temperature is calculated.Based on the simulation results, the influence of environmental temperature on the steady state temperature field of a MCB is analyzed.Finally, the experimental verification is carried out, which provides a certain theoretical basis for its designing and using.
