Carbon Dots-Based Fluorescent Photonic Films as Back-Reflecting Layers for Efficiency Enhancement in Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells (Dsscs)
Introduction Multifunctional photonic crystals (PCs), especially fluorescent PCs, have attracted increasingly interests in the last decade owing to the unique properties, including photonic bandgap and fluorescence.1 In general, there are two methods to prepare FPCs.One is to directly incorporate fluorescent substances, including organic dyes or quantum dots, into the voids of PC film (opal or inverse opal structure), forming a composite PC structure.2-9 Another method, monodispersed fluorescent composite colloids are used as building blocks to assemble into FPC films.10-16
