Point-of-Care Diagnosis Based on Nanoenzyme
Recently, nanoenzyme based on the novel materials has made significant contribution in diagnosis by taking advantage of its highly efficient catalytic activity. These newly developed diagnostic strategies have shown great advantages over conventional assays, particularly in low-cost, sensitivity, and practicality.Graphene and carbon nanotubes have been found possessing intrinsic peroxidase-like activity that can be applied for colorimetric detection.Platinum nanoparticles exhibit robust catalase-like activity that could be integrated with microfluidic chip for quantitative detection by directly reading the ink-bar chart distances.Since color changes or ink-bar chart distances can be read out by the naked eye, these strategies do not require expensive or sophisticated instrumentation and can be applied to point-of-care diagnosis.
