Microwave Heating Behavior of Partially Stabilized Zirconia in Microwave Field

Introduction Partially stabilized zirconia (PSZ) is a constructional nonmetallic material with the characteristics of high strength, high melting point, chemical inertness, low thermal conductivity and high thermal expansion coefficient, etc.PSZ shows obvious advantages in high temperature industrial fields, especially under the special operating conditions of against high temperature and erosion.Hence, it has been used as high temperature refractory materials, grinding materials and high temperature insulation materials.PZS also has a characteristic of martensitic transformation, which is an important basis for improving the toughness of ceramic materials and thermal shock resistance of refractory materials 1-6.
