Chemical Vapor Deposition of Carbon Nanotubes Prepared and Characterized
Introduction As a kind of new carbon materials, carbon nanotubes(CNTs), which have unique structure and special properties, has a wide range of applications in telecommunications, environmental protection, material science, industrial catalysis, bio-medicine.The preparation of high quality and high yield CNTs has been the main reason for limiting the application of carbon nanotubes.Arc method, laser evaporation method, hydrothermal method, chemical vapor deposition method is the main methods to prepare carbon nanotube.The basic idea of chemical vapor deposition method is to catalyze the decomposition of hydrocarbons in a certain pyrolysis temperature, so that the carbon atoms are deposited.The method is low cost and easy to realize batch production1-10.
