1.Overview About Demographic Challenges and Opportunities in Germany With a population of more than 81 million people, Germany has one of the oldest populations in the world today.According to latest projections of the OECD and the German Federal Statistical Office the average age of population and the proportion are both expected to rise during the upcoming years.It is expected that in 2060 every third person in Germany is 65 years old or older.
