A Wireless Sensor for 24-hour Noninvasively Monitoring Changes in Body Temperature in Domestic Layers
A wireless sensor equipment was invented for real-time monitoring layers body temperature, which can provide less stress reaction and less injury to layers.The body temperature under layer breasts and on legs was determined.Compared with layer legs temperature, breast has a higher and more stable temperature, which better fits the acknowledged layer body temperature.The anal temperature was also measured in this experiment as a contrast.However.we found that anal temperature of the chicken has a larger fluctuation range than expected, at the same time, significantly higher than normal.The ambient temperature acquired in this experiment is significantly associated with the body temperature of the layers.In this study, there is a short peak of body temperature change after laying eggs.The average duration of temperature changes during the oviposition is 64 mins and 0.28℃ higher than normal body temperature.High ambient temperature, large ambient temperature fluctuation causes layers diet sharply reduce than in a comfortable temperature.The figure shows that when layer fell ill, its temperature fluctuations significantly different from other health layers.
