Study on Antheraea perny silk fibroin nanoparticles carried 5-Fluorouracil
Due to its pleiotropic properties, silk protein has good properties such as biodegradability,biocompatibility, high bioavailability, therapeutic retention and so on.Silk protein fibroin in nanoparticle form is a promising material for drug delivery.The paper is based on Ca2+ induced changes in the morphology of Chinese oak tasar Antheraea perny fibroin.The 5-fluorouracil was encapsulated in silk nanoparticles.The size and the morphology of silk nanoparticles were tested.The drug content, covering rate, in vitro release of silk nanoparticles was also determinate.After investigated the influence of the drug weight in the silk nanoparticles, we found that the drug content increases with the solution of the silk nanoparticles increasing.While covering rate of the silk nanoparticles was reduced.When the solution concentration of the silk is about 1.2 mg/mL, the drug content and covering rate were high.The drug content is about 3.76% and the covering rate is about 30 %.The silk nanoparticles range in size is from 200 nm to 400 nm.In vitro release of 5-fluorouracil from the silk nanoparticles is approx.65% 5-fluorouracil remaining in the silk nanoparticles after 3 days.This research will open up a new experimental basis on the usage of the 5-fluorouracil.
