The Evolvement Study on Chinese Traditional Silk Plant Patterns under the Influence of Foreign Culture
China is the cradle of silk and has a long and rich silk culture, while the silk pattern is an integral part of silk culture.As the opening of the Silk Road in Han dynasty brings the west cultures gradually, Chinese silk plant patterns are a blend of Persian culture and foreign culture elements,adopting use of exotic plants such as pomegranate patterns.At the same time, on the basis of native plant grain appearance characteristic, from aspects of the subject matter, characteristic and the cultural connotation which has changed significantly, Chinese silk plant patterns have completed the nationalization reform, also creating the Po and so on a series of features classic plant patterns.China has a long silk development history and the rich silk pattern treasure, while patterns are one important part of the plant.Plant patterns range from tendrils to petals, from wood to herb, so the theme is extensive and patterns form are flexible, which has the rich cultural implication.As the opening of the Silk Road in Han dynasty promotes communication and integration of the areas between east and west, ancient Greek culture, Persian culture and Indian culture and other foreign cultures bring on the influence to Chinese silk patterns.Exotic plant patterns as the Sino-foreign cultural exchanges, gradually been absorbed fusion in silk pattern, and deepened the innovation, is endowed with a new image and meaning.
