The Design of Double Motor Electro-hydraulic Power Steering System for the Electric Bus
The ideal choice of steering system on electric bus is electro-hydraulic power steering system (EHPS).EHPS could substantially improve the energy efficiency and steering performance through the optimal matching of steering assist curve.In order to improve the safety performance of steering system, improve characteristics of steering resistance following and reduce the energy consumption of the system, based on the traditional EHPS system, the EHPS system design method is proposed by using double motors to drive oil pump.The working principle, parameter design have been analyzed and the mathematic model of double motor EHPS(DM-EHPS)has been established.The viewpoint of improving the efficiency of the system is proposed by changing the power distribution ratio of the motor.
