Fuel Consumption Modeling Based on VSP Distributions
Amount of vehicle data including instantaneous speed, acceleration and fuel consumption rate on arterial road of Chengdu are collected by using Techstream.Relationship between VSP and fuel consumption rate is plotted to indicate that Vehicle Specific Power(VSP)can be used to quantify vehicle fuel consumption related to different vehicles and operating conditions.And then the statistical VSP binning method for fuel consumption modeling related to average speed intervals and VSP distributions in each bin according to second-by-second fuel consumption rate is introduced.The modeling fuel consumption is calculated by means of VSP binning.Finally, comparison of modeling fuel consumption and real-time fuel consumption is analyzed.Results of contrast verify that the efficiency of fuel consumption modeling based on VSP distribution.
