Matching Design of Braking System on FSAE Racing Car
A new method of braking system design for a FSAE racing car was proposed, including the matching of main parts and the comparison of braking efficiency of the two racing cars.Based on the rules of FSAE, the layout of the braking system usually adopts double loop of type Ⅱ.This layout is simple and can be regulated easily.However,the problems in the matching design are that just few road conditions were considered and the limiting factors are considered inadequate.Considering the brake pedal force, balance bar adjustment range and brake pipe pressure and other constraints,matching the parameters of master cylinders and the brake calipers to suit different road adhesion coefficients to make car can play a maximum braking force in different road conditions.It can play an instructive role in the match design of the main parts of the braking system.
