Measurement Experiment on Variable Amplitude Vibratory Roller
Amplitude is the key parameter for roller;variable amplitude roller would enlarge its application range.A hydraulic cylinder with fix block and piston block was proposed for variable amplitude exciter.Hydraulic drive system and PLC control system was employed to control the exciter.Acceleration sensor fixed on vibratory motor in data acquisition system was employed to monitor the exciters amplitude, and the parameters were exchanged with PLC through CAN-bus communication.Variable amplitude experiment was carried in 12T tandem roller.The result indicates that the piston cylinder exciter could realize the variable amplitude from zero to maximum value 0.79mm, while the time and hydraulic pressure of piston block moving from one B to A is bigger than the opposite side.The variable amplitude exciter provides a new method to develop intelligent roller.
