A Study on Air Spring Simulation and Handling Stability of Minibus
This paper has made a research into the independent front air suspension of 7.3 meters minibus in China.Specifically.The simulation analysis of virtual kingpin double-wishbone front air suspension and experimental study on vehicle handling stability are performed.According to the data of front air suspension of sample vehicle, a three-dimensional model of the suspension assembly is established by means of SolidWorks software. Then in order to get a reasonable trajectory of guiding mechanism, the virtual prototype of front air suspension is built by ADAMS software which is used to analyze the characteristic of the curve of front wheel alignment angle and front lateral slippage with wheel moving up and down.According to the standard of GB/T6323-2014 for sample vehicle, three types of test on controllability and stability, including steering return ability, cornering performance or steady state yaw response test and steering portability, are carried out in China. The test results show that sample vehicle with virtual kingpin double-wishbone front air suspension has a good handling stability, that is, the left turn comprehensive performance is 87.7 and the right turn is 90.5.
