On the Piston Pump Properties in Closed Hydraulic System
An experimental study on the piston pump properties in closed hydraulic system with high back pressure(pump inlet pressure)was conducted in this paper.The test results show that the pump outlet pressure fluctuation level decreases near monotonously with back pressure, while the inlet pressure fluctuation presents no-obvious suppression effects once the back pressure is over 10bar around for the present 1450 rotating speed condition.On zero back pressure or no back pressure providing situation, the pump inlet pressure fluctuating disorderly without any periodical characteristic, the continued flow in the suction line may hard to realize, caused by the extremely serious cavitation vapour production or air release.Since the closed high back pressure system can suppress pump and valve cavitation in the meantime,which is also helpful to reduce the system pressure difference, and save the system energy.
