Finite Element Analysis of the Mast of Rotary Drilling Rig
As a rotary drilling rigs main support structure, the mast plays a direct and important role on the performance and construction safety of rotary drilling rig.In this paper,put the lift limit conditions of the mast for the study, established its finite element model, applied loads for static analysis, and finally calculated the maximum equivalent stress of the drill mast was 218MPa, which was less than the design yield ultimate strength, but the stress is concentrated in the junction which should be concerned.The 6 modal values and shapes of the mast were attained by Modal calculation, which verified that the resonance phenomenon does not occur when drilling mast working.
