Finite Element Analysis of Rotary Platform of Rotary Drilling Rig
This paper studied the static strength characteristics of the rotary platform of the rotary drilling rig at three typical working conditions.Firstly, the forces of the rotary drilling rig were analyzed in three conditions.Secondly, finite element analysis software ANSYS was used to research static features of rotating platform and the maximum deformation value, maximum stress and deformation and stress distribution of rotating platform were displayed in a variety of typical conditions.The results showed that the strength and stiffness of the connection positions between left and right vertical plate with chassis and the main winch placement were relatively weak.According to this analysis, lateral plates were installed on the left and right stringers which improved overall rigidity and strength and ensured the safety of the rotating platform.
