Effect of different parameters on thermal current of Frenkel-Kontorova lattices
Effect of different parameters on thermal current of Frenkel-Kontorova(FK) lattices inthe underdamped case isinvestigated by means of numerical calculations.The resultsindicate that: (1) It is found that the regime of NDTR varies withthe strength of the onsite potentialthe temporallyaveraged environmental reference temperature and the interatomic spacing, if the above parametersare too small or toobig, the NDTR range becomes very small.It meansthe NDTRphenomenon only exists in some specific values of the parameters.(2)All above results are based onthe condition of the different two sides potentialstrength.Interestingly, when we choose the sameonsite potential, some specifictemporally averaged environmentalreference temperature and interatomic spacing, there also exists the obvious NDTR phenomenon.(3)Finally, wediscuss how the different coupling displacements affect the thermalcurrent of FK lattice.It is found that with the increment ofcoupling displacement, the NDTR phenomenon becomes more and moreobvious.Our results have the implication that different parameters of nonlinear lattices plays a crucial role in the designs ofthermal devices.
