Research on the Non-Circular Hole Abrasive Flow Uniformity Precise Finishing Machining Methods

  A new kind of abrasive flow uniformity precise finishing machining method was put forward for the inconsistent surface quality problem caused by the changes of the non-circular hole curvature radius in abrasive flow machining.The experimental results showed that the radial and axial pressure and the surface roughness tend to be consistent in long and short axis of the oval flow channel after the similarity spindle placed.The abrasive flow machining pressure was greater than the direct extrusion pressure, the radial and axial average pressure difference respectively was only 0.03,0.11MPa, the surface roughness difference down from 0.212 to 0.005μm with the presence of spindle.The shear stress uneven distribution was solved by using homogenized flow channel in abrasive flow machining process, which would provide the base for implement high quality precise machining non-circular hole.
