Fabrication of Porous Titania Layer by Changing Solvent and the Fundamental Characteristics of Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells (DSC)

1.Introduction Solar power is being focused on as a source of renewable green energy.As the type that dominates the photovoltaic power market, the silicon type solar cell has complete technology chain and application experiences, from module manufacture to aftersales service.After being researched for decades, silicon solar cell presently has the highest convention efficiency of 25% in lab and also has 17% with a peak power of 280Wp in application (data source : Toshiba company).However,besides problems like serious pollution and long energy payback time, the cell itself can only absorbs direct light in strong light environment and only the upper layer absorbs light due to the characteristic of silicon crystal.Efficiency also decrease significantly with temperature increase.
