Research on micro texture cutting tool with bionic shape of easy penetration
Refer to the section plane of cross ribbing of pangolins scale, a novel kind of micro texture with bionic shape of easy penetration is proposed to prevent second-cutting phenomenon in the rubbing process of tools texture.Comparative studies of the designed bionic texture cutting tool and non-texture cutting tool are performed using cutting experiments and finite element method of steel 1045 turning, and the results show that the main and thrust cutting force are decreased by 8.01% and 8.59%, respectively, by using the biomimetic cutting tool.It is therefore stated that the designed bionic texture can be more easy penetration in the process of chip rubbing and decrease the friction between the cutting tool and chip.
