The Test and Analysis of Akund Fiber Length

摘要：

　　In order to expand development and application areas of the akund fiber further, the image measurement is used for testing length distribution of it.It is found that the length distribution of akund fiber is continuous and length distribution by number is similarly to that of cotton fiber, which shows a skewed distribution and general characteristics of natural fibers.The length of fiber is concentrated in the range of 24.5 ~38.5mm, the mean length by number is 31.84mm, the standard deviation of length is 4.25, and the short fiber content of akund fiber is low.The characteristics about length and distribution of it are beneficial to the development and application in the textile field.
