Development of a Non-Contact Method for Surface Roughness Evaluation of Fabrics
To evaluate surface roughness of fabrics accurately, efficiently and automatically, the device to obtain images of fabrics containing surface profile is designed and manufactured.It is automated, efficient, smart, low cost and controlled by Arduino.Surface roughness (SMD) of the fabricis calculated image processing with MATLAB.The correlation analysis between surface roughness measured by KES method and the imaging method is carried out, and the correlation coefficient are 0.65,0.91, and 0.95 respectively.
