On-chip E.coli detection for Drinking Water online monitoring
This paper presents an on-chip bacteria detection for drinking water monitoring, which is integrated with a membrane filtration unit with two acoustofluidic chips to achieve high throughput concentration of bacterial sample in drinking water.1-1itre per hour of throughput can be achieved by using membrane filtration.A large quantity of the water sample with bacteria and protozoan can be concentrated and fractionated respectively into microliter scale of volume by using acoustofluidic chips which can be served for rapid bacterial detection. This system facilitates for various biological analysis and potentially to be integrated with different functions of microfluidic/nanofluidic detection systems.
